VeriCIV Technologies Private Limited ("VeriCIV", "we", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use vericiv.in and the VeriCIV application.
1. Information we collect
When you use VeriCIV, we collect: • Account information: name, email address, firm name, and city provided during signup. • Floor plan files: PDF, DWG, DXF, IFC, or image files you upload for verification. These are your intellectual property and treated as confidential. • Usage data: pages visited, features used, verification history — used to improve the product. • Device data: browser type, IP address, and operating system for security and debugging purposes.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to: • Provide, maintain, and improve VeriCIV's compliance verification services. • Send you important product and account updates. • Respond to your enquiries and support requests. • Analyse usage patterns to improve the product (aggregate, anonymised data only). We do NOT use your floor plans or design files to train machine learning models.
3. Data storage and security
All data is stored in Indian data centres (AWS Mumbai or equivalent). Floor plan files are encrypted at rest using AES-256 and in transit using TLS 1.3. We implement role-based access controls so only essential personnel can access data for support purposes.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data with: • Service providers (cloud infrastructure, email delivery) under strict data processing agreements. • Legal authorities if required by Indian law. We will never share your floor plans with other users or third parties without your explicit consent.
5. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Floor plan files are retained for 12 months after upload, then deleted unless you request otherwise. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@vericiv.in.
6. Your rights
Under applicable Indian data protection law, you have the right to: • Access the personal data we hold about you. • Request correction of inaccurate data. • Request deletion of your data. • Withdraw consent for data processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@vericiv.in.
7. Cookies
VeriCIV uses essential cookies for session management and authentication. We use analytics cookies (Vercel Analytics) to understand how users navigate the site. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.
